Demo Horizon recently supported the Government of Burundi in structuring a public-private partnership (PPP) aimed at strengthening the country’s agricultural value chain.

This legal advisory mission focused on developing a study on the establishment and operation of an Aflasafe production unit, an essential product for the prevention of aflatoxins in cereals — a major public health and food security issue.

The project also involved designing a mechanism for the direct participation of producers, breeders, farmers, and distributors of Aflasafe, thereby promoting participatory governance and local ownership of the initiative in Burundi.

This mission lies at the intersection of law, rural development, and public-private investment, with the ambition to strengthen national capacities sustainably while combating aflatoxins in Burundi and across the East African subregion.

At Demo Horizon, we are proud to place our strategic legal expertise at the service of high-impact economic and social projects, helping to build a healthier and more prosperous future for the African continent.

On October 4, 2025, in Bamako, our Managing Partner Bakary Dramé officially presented the findings of the legal and institutional assistance mission carried out with the National Council of Employers of Mali (CNPM).

This mission, conducted as part of efforts to strengthen the CNPM's governance, institutional effectiveness, and legal framework, aimed to support the institution in modernizing its texts, strengthening its internal governance mechanisms, and consolidating its role in promoting the national private sector.

At the end of the presentation, several concrete recommendations were made to ensure the gradual and concerted implementation of the proposed reforms, in accordance with the principles of good governance and institutional legitimacy.

This initiative is in line with Demo Horizon's vision: Building sustainable bridges between international standards and local realities for a strong, modern, and credible Malian private sector.

Many thanks to the CNPM team for their collaboration, as well as to all the stakeholders who contributed to the success of this mission.

Sport in Africa: A Driver of Development, Unity and Innovation

On October 2, 2025, at the Paris Bar House, the 56th “Mensuelle Africaine” took place, organized by the Paris Bar Association, on the theme:

“Sport in Africa: Legal, Economic and Development Challenges.”

Our Founding Partner, Me Bakary Dramé, had the privilege of co-moderating this high-level session, which brought together experts in law, economics, and sports to explore the opportunities and challenges of a fast-growing sector on the continent.

The discussions highlighted the need to:

- establish a clear and attractive legal framework for the development of Africa’s sports industry,

- strengthen public-private partnerships to structure and finance sustainable sports initiatives, and

- recognize sport as a powerful vector for employment, social cohesion, and inclusion.

This initiative perfectly reflects Demo Horizon Law Firm’s commitment to supporting public decision-makers in designing and implementing innovative policies that promote performance, and sustainable development.
